CEO
Matt Dunlop is Chairman and CEO of the Australian Foam Laminators, which he founded after 20 years’ experience in the textile industry. With a background in management, and a Master’s in Business, Matt also brings a family history in the agricultural and engineering sectors to the business and a genuine understanding of the needs of the company’s many and varied customers. Matt recognised that business development was his passion from a young age, gaining experience as a salesman in his teens. He went on to grow several businesses from the ground up before recognising the opportunity that became the Australian Foam Laminators. A family man with a keen interest in sport, Matt is committed to continuous improvement to ensure the AFL remains Australia’s leading textile laminator.
Matthew Gaiter
Chief Financial Officer
A Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Matthew Gaiter is the company’s chief financial advisor. With a Bachelor of Business, Matthew is a registered Australian tax agent and operates his own accountancy firm. With experience in controlling the financial accounts of businesses in the construction and baking industries, Matthew is well positioned to appreciate the requirements of production, distribution and profit improvement.
A keen member of his local community, Matthew has taken on voluntary roles with a range of non-profit organizations, particularly those associated with his children and their education.
Kaz Lodkowski
Customer Service Manager
Kaz prides himself on delivering excellent customer service, no job is too big, too small or too difficult. He is able to deliver such service through the experience he has gained working in the textile industry for forty two years, with twenty six of those in the flame bonding industry. Kaz is described by his mates as a “good bloke’. He has three children, and three lovely grandchildren. His main passions are football. having been a Melbourne Football Club member for thirty years and he enjoys spending time with, and helping his mates.
Mitch Dunlop
Environmental Officer
Mitch joined Australian Foam Laminators (AFL) in 2016 with five years of experience in the textile industry. His experience had led him to develop superior customer service skills including effective communication with a focus on problem solving to meet client and production needs. Mitch is currently completing a Bachelor of Environmental Science at the University of Newcastle, and he transfers this knowledge in environmentally sustainable practices to AFL with the goal to minimise our environmental footprint and introduce solutions in line with Good Environmental Choice Australia certification (GECA). Mitch is leading AFL to meet the constantly changing environmental needs facing the textile industry and our clients. In addition to his interest in the environment Mitch spends his spare time four wheel driving and enjoys the game of Rugby League. “My priority is to ensure that Australian Foam Laminators products are consistently of an excellent standard whilst maintaining high standards of environmentally responsible manufacturing.”
Jesse Dunlop
Operations Manager Newcastle
Jesse’s role in Australian Foam Laminators is operations manager and he is currently completing a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Newcastle. With his deep knowledge of, and keen interest in mechanical engineering he concentrates on keeping the plant in Newcastle at the forefront of flame lamination.
This focus on constant innovation is also enabling Jesse to lead Australian Foam Laminators to open up new markets in supplementary industries.
“I often find that when you start working with clients, you can add a fresh perspective. My past roles have given me an opportunity to assist clients to grow their business. I’ve learnt to present and discuss business ideas. This will help me explore new applications for our products and help clients to become more competitive. Australian foam Laminators is a company committed to adding value and responding quickly to market trends. I’m proud to be part of it.” he said.
In his spare time Jesse enjoys the outdoors, camping and fishing.
