AFL Group acquires Sydney slitting company, expands capability at Minto facility

AFL Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of Sydney Slitting Company, further strengthening the Group’s converting and materials-processing capabilities across Australia.

As part of the acquisition, operations have been relocated to AFL Group’s Minto facility, where significant investment in new machinery has dramatically expanded slitting capacity. Previously limited to rolls up to 300mm in diameter and 3 metres in length, the upgraded operation can now slit materials up to 650mm in diameter and 6 metres long.

This expansion delivers greater flexibility, faster turnaround times, and the ability to support larger-format materials across a wider range of industries, including automotive, industrial, furniture, and technical textiles.

The acquisition aligns with AFL Group’s ongoing strategy to invest in advanced manufacturing equipment and vertically integrated services, providing customers with scalable, end-to-end converting solutions under one roof.
