AFL Group acquires flame free textile treatment business from Spark Textiles

B&R Converters, part of the AFL Group of companies, is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Flame Free Textile Treatment business from Spark Textiles.

The Flame Free operation has been fully integrated into B&R Converters’ Minto facility, consolidating specialist textile treatment capabilities into a single, expanded operation. At the same time, these advanced textile treatment services have been rolled out to the AFL Melbourne facility, significantly increasing capacity and geographic coverage for customers.

This expansion allows B&R Converters and AFL Group to offer a broader range of in-house textile treatments across multiple sites, improving lead times, consistency, and supply-chain security for clients operating in regulated and performance-critical markets.

The acquisition supports AFL Group’s strategy of investing in proven technologies and vertically integrating key processes to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for Australian manufacturers.
